Hey guys,
Me: Shy + STEM = never had a girlfriend
Just got out of a pretty bad depression. I’ve moved to DC from France for five months and would like to leave a different person.
I’ve installed and used some dating apps for the past week with mitigated success:
- Bumble: approx. 20 likes, 8 matches, talking to 4
- Tinder: approx 20 likes, 7 matches, talking to 1 (soon 0)
- Hinge: 7 matches, 2 still responding
Yeah I’ve got options. No I’m not that attracted to them. Plus the conversations are typically bland and stale. Must have screwed my elo as that has dropped off sharply since a few days.

- Never match with people I swipe right one first.
- Not sure where to go past small talk
What I have/can do:
- Am working out but that’s gonna take some time.
- New city; no friends to help take pics.
- Good camera and remote trigger. Limits me to my house though.
Long post, sorry. Any tips or advice? I’ve been told I give of a “nice guy” vibe (awesome…). How to look more attractive and fun?
