Had a date last night, and had worn this out for the first time. I also went with my GF to get a new casual jacket for an event we're going to this weekend (pics to follow, it's being altered currently).

I've been trying to up my style game, what do you guys think?

No from me as well

If you are going well dressed have you checked this guy out

Got a relevant article for you too: https://wellbuiltstyle.com/style-nope-the-going-out-shirt-edition/

* looked at your ensemble in more detail. The shoes are a big no mate. If you are going with trainers think Stan Smiths - clean white leather. You dont want to tuck in either unless you are going to wear a jacket as part of this, in which case you have to tuck in.

Not a fan looks like you're a dad.

Never tuck your shirt in, jeans don't fit right, shoes are dad shoes, colors are dull. Big hell no on this outfit boyo

chado I'm 38, I shouldn't be trying to dress like I'm young. Shirts with uneven bottoms are supposed to be tucked. I definitely know I need some new shoes though. Jeans feel like they fit me pretty well (I have big legs, so athletic cut or standard).

Radical I'm checking that out. I've been trying to use RMRS as a general template.

Aloofus I don't think chado was trying to get you to dress young but more of trying to say you look like the stereotypical middle-aged man. The look reminds me of Steve Carell in Crazy, Stupid, Love before his makeover lol.

If I remember correctly you work out so show it off with the way your clothing fits (it doesn't have to be skin tight but not billowy either).

TimmyTurner Oh gotcha that makes sense!

I do, but I have somewhat weird proportions. I'm 5'7, and that shirt is a small. It's definitely not too loose, but not a slim fit either (I have a bit of a belly now, but cutting).

Aloofus Two people to mirror in terms of style would be like Daniel Craig or Idris Elba

Here’s a better color scheme and fit for an outfit like that

Check tristan tate out for more middle age style inspiration.

Glad to see another one following the Tates here. Although, I think most of their clothes are very expensive. One thing I learned the last year is that even though you can *try* finding similar outfits like the ones a model is wearing, the original looks better for a reason. And it's mostly due to higher quality/price.
