I have a business

This is the default mental process of most people.
Realizing that you are caught in this cycle is the first step toward breaking out of it.

Damn, that's exactly what's happening. thanks for posting this

I ran the numbers with the rate I was taking on new customers exterior cleaning and I was headed for 300 pretty comfortably in 6 months. That would be a monthly turnover of 6k with just window cleaning.
This was from doing about 2hrs door to door a day as well.

Had some big self realisations over the last couple days.

Contacted a singer to hopefully put a set list together.
The other guitarist has stopped responding, may try to contact again.
Had three people ask about lessons but they all stopped responding after I suggested times and dates to book a lesson.

Very fun jam learned some singing pointers too, spent the rest of the day rock climbing and hanging out with my stoner friends.
Heard my family member is progressing again so I'll be able to visit and have a good chance of seeing him now he's leaving his room.

I want to develop my conviction so I can see more clearly across the valley of despair.
I've achieved this in the gym by just turning up for over half my life now, I worked through loads of injuries and sticking points and continue to adapt my training and never considered that it was an option to not only train but to incrementally push myself each session.
I'm also using Ravi's inner game framework and making sure I don't neglect my social life.

A few updates:

Dating:

Added a couple new photos to my profiles and have had a slight increase in the attractive-ness of the women I'm matching with.
Slept with three new women, two over valentine's weekend. Tried out feeld as well where I met one of them.
Nice experience and actually not bad given I'm at home and using the free versions of the apps.
One of them I was open to pursuing something more meaningful but she said she didn't want to.
This is a low priority for me until I get my own place.

Money:

Started the exterior cleaning business back up because it's simple and I know how to make it work, what I'm changing and how to keep myself from burning out.
Big job booked this weekend and a round starting to develop.
Today is my last day at work and I have a cash buffer to where it's impossible for me to fail.

Health/fitness:

Set several pr's and now I'm doing some more athletic type training

Next to blast the business to where I'm rich.

Business:

I've hit my ten customers per week goal for the last two weeks and landed two big pressure washing jobs.
Two of my new customers are massive houses so proce-wise basically the same as two normal large houses each.

My pressure washing equipment gets mogged on these bigger jobs but it's still worth it money-wise in this building phase.
In future I'm going to expand into windows with my equipment purchases and turn down these big pressure washing jobs for now.

I have a lot of head room to increase my door to door sales as well if needed.

I'm experimenting with a cleaning planner app as well now to organise my round more.

Dating:

Saw a new girl this Thursday, went back to hers after going out for food. Had a good time, she came twice in about two minutes from oral which is a first.

Gym:

With the big jobs I've only been to the gym once this week.
I hit an easy 100kg overhead press, failed 105kg after losing balance but then hit a nice rep pr with 80kg

Business:
Hit 40 customers now, building steadily.

Dating:
Met a girl from feeld and fucked outside, she's very fun and we're planning on getting an air BnB as she travels pet and house sitting.
Kept picking her up as well as she's very petite.

Rambling business review for my first month:

First month lessons summarised:
-I hit my goal of +10 customers a week and now have 40 customers!
-Quality/Efficiency is going to be more important than quantity after the 50 customer mark
-To get an efficient, quality round it will take time to whittle down my customer numbers.
-I've managed to gain money which is awesome and gives me more breathing space - I can afford to say no
-Add-on services and tips from good customers have more than made up for attrition
-Attrition is good

Next steps:
-Systematising my lead inflow and cleaning schedule
-Consolidating customers by location
-Leaflets
-Van

Gym:
Pec tendons are up for heavy incline pressing again which I'm very happy with.
Misloaded 130kg onto the bar today thinking it was 120kg to wonder why it felt so heavy.
Building the incline bench up is going to carry over nicely to my overhead press goal

Women:
Getting an air BnB on next Monday as Thursdays girl said she'll get very noisy.
In hindsight it was fucking awesome railing her in a park on the first date she also wants me to tie her up and choke her lmao.
I'm starting to find a niche, especially for petite feeld girls who want to be manhandled which is a lot of fun.
Living life on my own terms has also had a big impact on my self esteem which impacts dates and the bedroom.

I'm at the 50 customer milestone. Not 50 monthly but 50 overall.

Had to cancel the air BnB as this girls on her flow smh. We were gonna go Dutch so I'll see if she sends me the refund money.
Really good motivation to push a little further each canvassing session, build the business and get a nice place for myself.

I've also ordered 5000 leaflets and expect to post 1000 a week while doing my canvassing.

The air BnB girl sent me the whole amount for the refund as it was her who cancelled which is cool. I was happy to split the losses so told her I was good either way but if she wanted to refund everything it would go to my van fund.
Told her I appreciated it.
We might set something up when she's back in the area.

Did a gutter clean today and landed a conservatory roof clean from talking to the neighbours.
This is the power of canvassing. I went out on Thursday, booked this customer in for windows Friday, he had me back today to do the gutters and now I've got a job with his neighbours. Even if I get 100 no's a session I run into enough of these customers where the opportunity just flows to me because I made myself known and simply offered.
Dude also was self employed before he retired and gave me a lot of encouragement and said I'll do well as I'm very thorough.

Some updates:

Business:
I'm up to 74 customers, dropped 8 as well so very roughly a 10% attrition rate which I'm pleased with considering I haven't been at all picky with who I take on. I've been pretty relaxed with the door to door, hit a quiet patch but then started picking up loads of big one-off jobs.
I used all the money from these big jobs to buy a water tank and pump system for the van outright as well as a carbon fibre pole.
With these two big investments I'm fully specced out for window cleaning and will be operating at max efficiency once the tank arrives.

I also had a day I packed with work and pushed my setup to its limits (pre-water tank) which was really good to get an idea of how much work I can actually get done in a day.

I've got myself listed in Google maps after some tribulation and will start collecting reviews once they approve my pictures.

My leaflets are pretty effective. I haven't even used half of them and have nearly ten customers plus three had add in services which means they paid for themselves a while ago. Paying for leaflet drops is now viable.

I've got a cleaning planner app which organises everything for me too.

The next thing I want to do is get my van sign-written.

Health/Fitness:
I hit a 230kg for 5 Deadlift as well as a pain free 140kg close grip bench.
Tweaked my right lat shortly after this and cut down to where I have a six-pack.

Now I'm working on my squat and incline bench again.

Dating:
Had another air BnB plan fall through with the same girl, she paid for it all though which I appreciate.
I called it off after that as I felt a bit like a crack addict wanting his next fix of flinging her around.
Haven't done much so nice then because my logistics are frustrating.
It does feel good to be able to re-invest in my equipment so quickly living at home, I've spent about 9k on everything which would have been a slog if I was paying rent as well.

Next steps:
I'm going in a canvassing and leafleting tear the rest of may and June. I'm going to monkey branch into a new town - to be decided and see how fast I can grow now I've got the equipment to serve a large number of customers.
Once I move into a bigger town my social and dating life can pick up again.

I've done it. 11k worth of equipment later and I've got a fully kitted out exterior cleaning business!

I tested out the tank/pump and new on/off valve and it cut my cleaning time in half. Not figuratively but literally in half! Now the cleaning is going to be the easy bit and when I get to the point that I've got too much to do in a day it'll mean I've got 300+ customers on the books!

I spent 20 minutes just sat in the van smiling to myself, then I opened up the glove box and it was stacked with successful leaflets! And I have a planner app with 85 customers in it!

Big thanks to you all for pushing me on this journey so far and I'm looking forward to learning more about business success so I can share it here!

Let's fucking go!!!
