Hello guys,

I need advice on a good camera to buy I am thinking about buying a gopro 6 where I can take pictures even underwater here a nikon is too expensive so any of you have any tips of good cameras that aren't so expensive?

For a good camera you're going to have to shell out some cash.

GoPros are good for fast-moving action shots. They suck balls at taking photos. Significantly worse than your phone.

Either save up, or put it on credit. I suggest Andy's upper-level bundle (the Canon one). I started out with that and used it to take photos for a few dozen clients before I upgraded. It's very capable.

How'd you get your profile avatar? It's pretty solid, looks taken with a professional camera. Did you hire someone?

Yeah I hired a professional but I figured that it is too expensive because I took 40 pics but only 2 gives the fuckboy vibe. So it is better for me to just buy a camera and try it out.
Regarding the cameras what do you think about a gopro 11 says that has better pics than iPhone 11.
I will look it up Canon but I will have to go with a used camera a new one would be out of my pocket

Also the photographers here in my city are used to take pics for girls so they don't quite know how to take the most of each posing

How about a second hand Sony A6000 + the 50 mm F1,8 OSS or 35mm 1.8 oss? That cam got good reviews in terms of price-performance some years ago.
What do you say MILFandCookies ?

No GoPro. I don't know who said it was better than the iPhone 11 but that's complete horseshit. What makes iPhone photos okay sometimes is the extensive processing they do behind the scenes - your phone actually takes a dozen or two shitty photos and uses computational magic to make it look okay. (Two good explanations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gXSLJfwfwk and https://youtu.be/88kd9tVwkH8?t=43 )

GoPros don't do any of that. They're built for fast action video, not photo.

Here's Andy's recommended combo - it's the one I started out with, and used for my first couple dozen paid clients. Very capable. You can get it used too, no need to get it new.

It's not bad. tl;dr the sensor is smaller which means a 50mm lens will act like a 75mm lens (more thought needed when you purchase lenses) and there will be slightly less bokeh (background blur). Inconveniences but nothing huge.

The more in depth explanation:
The sensor is what we call a "crop sensor" which isn't ideal but also not that much of an issue.

The only thing is you'd have to do math to figure out what each lens will actually look like: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/photography/tips-and-solutions/understanding-crop-factor

That's an extremely geeky and in-depth explanation about exactly why, but to boil it down to be more simple, you have to multiply the focal length (the mm number) of the lens by 1.5 to know the equivalent.

Thanks for you advice. I need some guidance on pics and scenarios for tinder. Could you help me with that?

caico11 Andy poured his heart and soul into a super in-depth guide that answers exactly this. I'd suggest reading the guide thoroughly and applying it before asking any more questions about Tinder or photos etc. You'll likely find your questions answered. Action taking is highly valued on these forums, and hesitation will get a bunch of people yelling at you to take action.

I'm happy to answer questions that come up as you take action of course, but take the first step today and start reading the tinder guide.
