She's a friend of mine and recently broke up with her boyfriend, I thought I screened her and that she was sending the right messages, she invited me to come watch a movie with her and was wearing something hot as hell. At a moment I basically said I wanted to fuck her...

Now that I write this I feel like it's ridiculous I'm the one feeling guilty actually

I would say the wrong move wasn't being sexual, it was voicing it. You just go for it. My go to move is subtle touches while talking. Sometimes I ramp it up more. Then you go for a kiss. It's 2021 so if she is receptive to the kiss she's probably dtf.
 
I apologized to her, it's all good. It was just very brutish and clumsy, but we ended up having a laugh about it. In the end, I'm happy I did it. Now she knows my intentions and the fact that I want her. I'll get another chance for suree

I'd say its a hail mary move. Final solution sort of thing. One a relatively recent location I managed to turn a situation around by looking into the girl's eyes and saying 'I want you.' I don't think I told a girl outright I wanted to fuck her but I am sure it has worked occasionally!

Don't feel bad. You made your move. It was yours to lose and this time you lost but next time bro. Just try a different screening line maybe.

A few others helped you out with the original situation. I def. agree with Radical and Thebastard's diagnosis.

I'll add - going forward if you decide you wanna try to fuck her again just kiss her when it feels right, and if she's receptive go for it. Touch is much more effective than speech as the first move.
