I want to lose my VCard before the end of college, I’ve only got a year so it’s time to go all in. And that means also joining dating apps (again). I made a Hinge profile last year and surprisingly got matches despite crappy to mid tier photos, no dates sadly.

I was in Japan for a few days and decided it would be a good time to get some good shots. I picked a few I liked, did some Facetune and some filters (didn’t change a lot, just smoothed some things out, the defocus option is a godsend). I think they’re miles ahead of my old stuff.

i do not think any of these would work, but following the above should get you on the right track

I think only #4 is semi usable, I'd also maybe go to a tailor or get some style advice. On online dating, there's nothing that stands out about any of these photos. Why should a woman want to take your v-card? Whats your unique selling point? So far you just fit right in with the masses. I don't think with this you'd go far in the online dating world.

I agree, it is the only one i had any confidence in. I didn't really prioritize style in these photos cuz I took them abroad and it was mad hot and humid in japan so I cared more about not overheating. I may take some photos when its colder and wear different outfits. I knew there was not much variety in these photos I just needed a starting point better than my old garbage photos.

Wym selling point? Like in terms of looks? I think I am above average. Hell just going to the gym puts you above average these days.

I read his tinder guide, or at least most of the first two parts, didn't know about that second article, will check it out. I am not a photographer so I knew I was bound to be shit at my first rounds of photos. I WISH I had the money for a DSLR but i am broke as fuck at the moment. Seems like Iphones don't cut it. I will try to borrow one from someone or find a photographer around my university or city. Even that I am not sure if they will charge me money for it, maybe I can offer to buy them lunch or dinner who knows if that will work.

Hi. I wrote the article ;)

Main point of it that applies to your photos - your photos are mostly of you sitting or standing looking cool. You have one awkward social photo (better alternative pose I took for a client below) and the photo with you and a goat, which is fun and okay for now.

Try to get photos of you doing things, to offer a window into what dating (or fucking) you would FEEL like. This will drastically increase girls' reactions to you.

Hope it helps. Keep grinding you're in the right place.
