Living the dream/ Phase 1 - The first crossroads

klondike nice, I can see that being the case. Nextdoor is on the to-do list, it'll be good to compare against the fb ads.

Only the Admin can do that bro, but that Admin will be me shortly, Andy is helping us transition.

The work is underway.

I'll change your username when I have the database locked down.

Worked for a total of 8 hours this weekend driving included and made £260 gross, £230 minus the FB ad spend which works out slightly more time/money efficient compared to door-to-door.
I'm very grateful all my customers gave me 5 star reviews (I've got 5 now and some followers on my page) so will run the same ad with my 5 star rating to see what difference it makes with the same £4 daily spending limit.

I looked at window cleaning some more and decided I need to be patient. its not the type of work I want to get into as I'm focussing on high-paying jobs like roof cleaning using specialised equipment where my hourly rate will be around £90-100.
I've actually found a guy in a city not too far from me who does these jobs off a ladder like a chad so I'm gonna copy him and basically use roof ladders and a harness which is way cheaper than a big van and scaffold setup.
But for now I will keep building my page and saving money on the less glamourous gutter jobs.

I'm getting faster at setting up my equipment and working my way around a property methodically now too. I cleaned a massive farmhouse bungalow yesterday and lifted loads of debris but was still pretty fast.
Today I got ladder cucked again and ended up climbing up a window to pull a bit of roof guttering back into place which was really dumb now that I think about it.

I'm at a point now where its time to dial things in. work on advertising during the week, secure jobs and build up money while I keep looking for places to move to and cutting down my living expenses.

This week I'm gonna get more efficient and embrace the slow and consistent process of improving and reaching the next level. I can get laid and make money and now its time to get better and better at both until I can peace out with stacks of cash and a wife-calibre woman.

This week:
Workout: Upper, Lower, Upper. Cardio *3 on the assault bike
Go to one social
Use red light mask every day
Re-stock sunblock
Drink a greens shake every day, DHA every other day
Get back on the apps: Implement Fire-texts app 100 Likes on Hinge, all bumble swipes 100 likes on Tinder plus 2 super boosts.
Go to one social: Talk to women
Listen to The Dom's podcast on my commute

Keep searching for places to move
Post 2 times on my Facebook page and organise jobs for the weekend

I'm grateful to have reached a point where I know a lot of positive people irl now and will keep moving in this direction and away from the Internet.
Very grateful to have a process and path to victory laid out before me.
Even more grateful to have a better understanding of what I want from life and starting to feel what it will be like.

Found this metal af Bible verse and will endeavour to take it on board:

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

I've now got enough money to get my roof cleaning setup that I can run out of my car. Basically got everything I need and ready to pull the trigger. Still need to work out where to get all this expensive hardware safely delivered as I live in a block of flats. Looking at my parent's house which can then act as my first trial-run for roof cleaning.

Facebook ads gave me nothing this week despite now having more pictures, videos and reviews. Back to the drawing board with this one, I've pulled the ad but it might have been better to wait as I don't know the sort of timeframe needed to get enough info.

Went back to my bread and butter and got a job from doorknocking yesterday. I have 3 leads for roof cleaning and another 2 for fascias and soffits that I can do with the roof cleaning materials by switching chemicals.

Women:
Things are going great with M.
I have no interest in the apps right now, things were going well and I was having some good interactions but I stopped messaging. I don't think I have the ability to juggle work, building my side-business, workout, see M a couple times a week, generally improve my health, logistics and be able to get invested in talking to dozens of women at once if its through a screen.

Made good progress in terms of relationship depth. For the first time I feel an emotional connection where I really wish the best for her and don't view it as a zero sum game.
This is incredibly important to me because how I view one woman changes how I view all women.

Sexual health:
I acheived a long standing goal of mine that has taken over a year - that is to match the arousal levels and EQ from porn with sex.

Made my first set of purchases for roof cleaning. I now just need a good ladder and safety system to access the roofs themselves.
I also left a comment on one of Andy's business videos and he suggested I contact businesses to get commercial cleaning jobs. I've got the gear and experience to make this happen so decided to go for it. I've tweaked my website a little bit, added a signature to my business email and will draft my first letter tomorrow to send out. I think right now I could tackle small public buildings and shops/pubs.
Letting agencies that manage properties for landlords could also be a goldmine if I won a contract with them.
Maybe I could do larger buildings over a couple of days too. Very exciting stuff.
My gmail inbox had a letter from google ads with credit to run my first ads as well so I'm gonna run some to my website and see how that compares to facebook.

I have learnt the value of mailing lists too as I'm on 3 leads for roof cleaning and two for softwashes and can use my facebook page to promote new services to my previous customers to actually get some serious leverage going.

Work is very boring and it is making me want to quit and go all-in. I will continue to grow everything for a while longer, perhaps my first roof clean and my first commercial gutter clean will be a good point to make the jump.

During the second or third week of march I intend to take the week off to go door-to-door again. This time I'll try to stack jobs in and get as many done per day as I have the energy for while also offering roof cleaning, I can then run Facebook and google ads alongside the door to door sales while emailing businesses.

I've been telling people at work about my business ideas and found that I'm getting them really fired up and they start giving me ideas, suggestions and generally cheering me on which is really cool. I'm very grateful for this and didn't really expect it as they seem to be happy to punch in every day, complain a little bit, do a decent amount of work and look forward to the weekend. In short the crabs in a bucket analogy just hasn't played out and positivity is contagious. Now everyone comes up to me to tell me about their day and what they've been up to which has never happened before.

Got another lay off hinge, the quality here has been much better - tinder seems like a shithole by comparison.
I ran out of gas again on the apps as I don't enjoy messaging in general but this girl sent me a like and had a picture of her ass in her bio which motivated me lol.
Had a good time, personality wise she's a typical zoomer and I kind of cut off the conversation to just start making out.

General woman stuff:
All but three of my lays from online have basically been me getting invited straight to theirs.
I don't feel any emotional connection from protected sex.
If I'm just looking for sex I prefer just running the templates and playing the numbers.

I wore protection to honour my agreement with M which I'm pleased with.

There was no real excitement, just felt hedonism, like eating a burger.

My sexuality has changed to where I get a massive surge of positive emotions from the act of overwhelming and almost dominating a woman I care about and seeing what a great experience we're sharing. Highlights so far have been from stripper girl calling me daddy kicking me off her to squirt across the room and M chain squirting and saying 'please fuck me, fuck I'm yours.'

These experiences actually made me feel a duty of care towards these woman.
I feel that men and women are very different in that women have a desire to be led and if not commanded, shown a positive direction they can go.
At the same time I think I have been looking for something from women that was actually something I was looking for from God. That is to say unconditional love.

(I've been listening to Ye, made friends with an imman and have had a lot of time at work to think about the journey so far so my views might change)

I don't know if sex without a mind to build something is really fair to women. I don't want to go around creating childless mid-30s cat ladys so I don't know if this is the right place to post 'find a wife, build a family' type goals.

I no longer judge women for being 'hoes' because I have done the same. But also don't think those type of women will make good long term partners to try and actually build something with.

With this in mind I'm resolved to building deeper and more meaningful relationships with women. I don't feel like I have the bandwidth to do this outside of monogamy.

Business:
My ourchases are complete, feels good to have made enough money from gutters to level up to roof cleaning. Hopefully it will all arrive tm and I'll go to my parents to clean their roof as the first one. At that point I'll be able to offer a high-paying service and I can actually sell shit now too which is fucking fantastic.

Grateful for everyone who posts here as we generally figure life shit out and sprial upwards. Coaxhing, the adventure of moving to a city has massively changed me as a person and I'm looking forwards to starting a new and more ambitious chapter.

Went door to door today but no luck, gave out some leaflets.
I'm going to restart my Facebook ads and research how seasonal gutter cleaning is. Not enough data to draw a conclusion but I want to be able to track the peak seasons for this.

All my equipment for roof cleaning has arrived and I've also got my pressure washer in reserve.
Heading down to my parents tomorrow now to get all the gear.

Contacted my leads from previous jobs and have one roof job booked for April, another maybe - I actually lowballed the price on this one.
I also have a job next Sunday cleaning the fascias and soffits on a house.

Seeing M tonight and she's cooking me dinner.

Listened to Andy and Cam's podcast where they covered finding your favourite ways to date. So far the two lays I've had from social have been the most fun. I really enjoy the thrill of getting introduced to a group and finding the girls who like me so its time for a concerted effort on the social side.

Gym:
Been listening to renaissance periodisation and taken a lot of the bodybuilding advice on board. I've been able to increase my weekly working sets per bodypart while feeling fresher, getting more out of lighter weights moved through as big a rom as possible. Hit three sick upper body workouts and enjoying my workouts a lot more.

I've got all my equipment. I didnt take I to account how thiccc the ladder sections would be so I can't get it into my flat. Luckily M has been amazing and let me lock it up in her garden for now.

Student girl (my first lay in nottingham) has been messaging me again inviting me over but I'm always asleep by the time she sends the message.

This week:
1. Find cheaper accomodation.

2. Join a social group

3. Send 10 emails to local businesses advertising my services

4. Workout: upper body 3× 1× lower. Cardio ×2 (assault bike)

5. Diet, source decent lunch option. Oily fish eod. 5-a-day fruit and vegetables. Increase protein intake by approx 30-40g

6. Go to cinema with M - keep asking her about her opinions on man/woman dynamics

7. Door knocking Saturday, Sunday

8. Complete job Sunday morning

9. Revise Facebook ads, design Google ads. Try to link Facebook reviews to website.

10. Mindset: listen to a good podcast episode on commute. 1 thing I'm grateful for, 1 thing I like about myself, celebrate small wins, celebrate bigger wins - weekly. Re-affirm when doing something uncomfortable: 'You're doing great, this is amazing' e.g when pushing it on the assault bike.

11. Decide whether to be sexually conservative or not, and if this will help me acheive deeper relationships or if it isn't a big deal.

I've been run down all week so most of my plans got derailled.
Luckily my Facebook page actually got me two organic leads that I booked for jobs without needing to run ads.
I also have another customer quotes for a roof clean with they will hopefully get back to me on and another for patio and driveway cleaning.
Wierd how my gutter cleaning ad actually got me two leads for doing whole roofs 🤔
While I've been ill I've been watching marketing videos. It dawned on me that the best way to transition from my job to my business is to set up a pipeline if jobs through Facebook and Google ads, that way I can test the market without having to go door to door, which I will still do when I don't have work.
Anyway, two jobs today, my first house clean with the new equipment tomorrow which is nextdoor to the house that I got ladder cucked on during my week off in jan so I will go back there and get my revenge.

I’ve been following along. Primarily because I’d like to understand Facebook ads a little better and how to grow a business using them.

Noah Kagan is an YT personality who showed up on my watch list last year or two years ago. He interviewed a guy who runs a 120k/yr window washing business. This maybe completely redundant and I apologize for it. I’d like for you to succeed and for some reason this vid stuck with me by the hustle the guy showed. If you don’t mind I’m going to post the video I’m referring to:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RWxSijmftrI&pp=ygUYTm9haCAxMDAwIHdpbmRvdyB3YXNoaW5n

The grind. It always comes back to the grind. I thought would people be more interested in meeting me with a vista print business card or is it more time efficient for them to jump on FB and get a quote?

Keep posting.

Thanks for sharing, love these types of video, I watched a similar one on pressure washing that got me started doing this stuff.

My Facebook ads are a work in progress but so far I'm trying to track all the variables to get as much info as possible and a-b testing different advertising principles as I understand them.

I'd try both cards and fb ads and stick with what works best (they might both work) the one thing with cards and flyers is its always going to come down to numbers and handing them out in the hundreds or even thousands takes ages, I go door knocking with my leaflets rather than post them because I prefer to talk face to face so I can get more substantive interactions and a firm 'no.'

Similar to dating if you diversify your lead sources it makes getting work/dates more stable and each network has its pros and cons

Yeah the grind is part of everything. I try to think of it as a natural part of life, like a salmon swimming upstream haha. It's the source of abundance though so im grateful for the opportunity to grind and by having to work for what I want it becomes more important to me.

Awesome your starting a business, if you post some of what you're doing we can build a body of knowledge on here and share what we've found to be effective 💪💪

I did my fascia and soffit cleaning job today, me and the customer were very happy with the results but fucking hell was it difficult.
I used a water fed pole and a backpack to apply the cleaning agent and to rinse it off afterwards.
The whole job took 6 hours lmao and I ended up climbing the roof.
I'm going to refine my technique and try to get this down to about 4 hours, at which point I'll be happy with the price I'm charging.
I think it's possible.
I also offered roof cleaning but like many other people it's out of his budget.
I'm doing his neighbourgh's house next saturday so I'll get more practice with this setup. I also might ditch it and just use a pressure washer in future.

Booked up what will be my highest paying weekend so far due to two referrals.
One form a gutter job last weekend and another gutter and exterior clean for a friend of sundays customer. Add in the clean in doing on Saturday- which is from a door I knocked on back in January and it will be my biggest weekend so far and the most I've ever made in 2 days.

These jobs all came about from knocking on one door which is pretty wild. And means a lot of the new kit will have paid for itself already!

That’s awesome. I’m happy to hear its working out. What does your T-shirt say, btw? Just curious.

It’s not my business that I’m looking to promote; I read your previous post. It’s a young man that I’ve known since pretty much the day he was born who’s moved back into the area and recently married.

He opened a rustproofing shop for cars and prior to that was a mechanic for Harley Davidson. He quit after they didn’t promote him and he set his own shop up. He’s an awesome mechanic who’s self taught and I wish the best for him. A
Unfortunately, , he may not be efficient with his time and is learning the ropes with Google ads and FB etc. His business cards stink to high heaven. My dad’s presbyopic( read as very old), and couldn’t even read his cards.

So yeah, just helping out a friend.

Make sure you knock on the doors of the three houses on each side of the ones you’ll work on. You’ll know when you’ve reached your limit of cold knocking. Let’s go!!!!

One more thing: Fuck heights.
