I never felt as I was judging women, especially the girl I met up with. At one point she said one of the guys that was messaging her was just a friend (which I didn't care). I probably stated somewhere on this thread I want to have fun but if I don't get laid then I think it would be natural to be bummed out a bit. I went along with her dancing. Yesterday I was kind of rambling and disappointed in myself. Today I'm processing things a bit better. If it was yesterday I would have written this trip as an epic failure but today I'm not so hard on myself. I really think she was a good girl looking for a relationship and not a ONS. I won't get into details but she seems to perceive me as a high quality guy.
This is going to be a recap of my trip to Colombia. It's now back to working and making dat money. Some of the following are just my opinion, feel free to disagree:
* I spent some time on this trip reading about our ongoing political situation in the US. That's about all I want to say since this isn't a political forum.
* I think most of the girls in Medellin are looking for long term relationships and not one night stands. The only one I met up with seems to be a keeper but I still want to experiment with other women. I saw a decent amount of hot women with tall Latin boyfriends.
* I need to bring cash next time. This ABSOLUTELY hurt my trip. I probably lost at least 1 lay by not being able to send a taxi or being able to go out of my barrio to visit girls.
* I still had fun even with the draconian lockdowns and not getting laid. I learned more about women and put myself in a strange environment so I can grow as a person.
* Medellin is not a beginner friendly pickup city. Some of the guys I talk to tell me to go visit prostitutes, go out to malls. Like I mentioned before one of the guys I talked to wouldn't be getting looks in real life but online he kills it.
I think online is the best way followed closely by social circle. I don't think cold approach is effective, contrary to some sites I've read about Medellin. I set the seeds to social circle and I have some high quality contacts that can help me with my business. I tried to be cool with everyone since the dollar at the moment is powerful.
* I think Medellin is a great place to meet a high quality wife. The only girl I got to meet up with is fairly attractive, seems sane, isn't drinkiing the feminist koolaid, and probably is open to having children. I'm going to talk to her one last time tomorrow.
* The next time I come I'll consider automating or outsourcing my Tinder matches. I'll focus more on social circle and doing work on my business. My current approach of cold approach/online dating/social circle has only led to 1 girl meeting with me. I'll play around with the 80/20 rule instead of brute forcing it.
* Feel free to use this as a resource along with other sites. I'm very sure the people that state this is a class based society are on the mark. Live in the nice places, drive nice cars, wear nice clothing, take very good care of your hygiene.
So where do I go from here?
I want to come back to Colombia within 2 years and bang the girl I met. I was honest with her about staying short term and I did nice guy things like let her stay over and walk her to her Uber. I'm sure she doesn't want me to pump and dump her and that's fair since this isn't American/western style dating.
My next trip might either be the Phillipines, Ukraine, Mexico, or Quebec.
