So my teeth are yellow, but anything that bleaches them makes them hurt really bad and get super sensitive.

So I can't use bleach or peroxide or anything like that.

Anyone know any solutions that aren't destructive to the teeth?

I'll share my progress on this post so others can use it as a reference.

Have you tried using Sensodyne toothpaste? I usually switch to using that while I'm going through a whitening phase. Decreases a good amount of pain/sensitivity. But I'm also using dentist recommended stuff, not home-made stuff.

I might try that. The whitening box at Target said the sensitivity wasn't harmful or permanent so I might just do it and stick out the pain.

And for reference this is what I'm using:

I'm not sure whether or not you can buy this OTC, I just get it from my dentist. I also had trays made for me, that's how I apply it.

According to the dentists I've asked, you can pretty much use this as often as you want. Professional teeth whitening is apparently different, they said only to do that every ~6 months or so.

Also I think you know this already, but make sure that you avoid getting any teeth-whitening product on your gums at all costs.. that's always made the pain/sensitivity worse for me.

These guys are in Target, they use the same active ingredient: https://auraglow.com/products/carbamide-peroxide-teeth-whitening-gel

They also have a kit with a tray and a blue light thingy to accelerate the process.

Thanks for the tip! I'll save up and get an Auraglow kit and post pictures on this thread/report my sensitivity so others can benefit from my experience.

#bought.

I'll let y'all know how it works, with before/after pics.

I didn't forget about y'all sexy folk.

I've been focusing on my contract and so far have done only 5 treatments. I want to do a full 7 before I share results. I'll keep y'all updated.

Yo!

I'll update this post with photos tomorrow.

But here's the gist of it.

The bottom tray didn't mold to my teeth so it didn't whiten as much as my top teeth.

They are all noticeably whiter, but more work needs to be done on the bottom.

It tastes shit and is uncomfortable but it doesn't make my shitty, chipped, cavity filled teeth sensitive which I was very very surprised about.

Before/after pics coming soon.

Update - buy a better kit.

The lower teeth tray didn't even whiten my teeth. It didn't mold close enough to my teeth and all the whitening solution leaked out before it could do any work.
