Hi guys,
These are the three pics I'm running with right now. Using the SLR and tripod I have managed to take some good staged pics of myself, but the "location/activity" pics are kinda low quality, being shot by someone else using my phone.

Here are a couple more I haven't tried yet, but they have the same problem of being crappy smartphone pictures.

I need some suggestions on what to put effort into next. Where's the low-hanging fruit? Should I try to stage some more interesting pictures, like hiking or at the beach, or should I focus on improving my wardrobe? Should I just set up the tripod in my room and practice posing better?
Would also be nice to have a good-quality picture with other people, but this has proven harder than I thought. I've always been less photogenic. The first picture and my avatar are from the top 5 out of over 200.
