At first I'd go at it with a bag of frozen veggies. Worked OK for the most part, but at some point you get tired of having to use food to get the job done. Right now I'm using a specially designed ice pack from a company called Primal Cold. It's a bit pricey with shipping and everything, especially if you don't live in the US like me.
But I've read reports of people on reddit etc that go about it with a simple re-freezable ice pack off amazon, initially intended for treating sports injuries etc.
Wanted to try it out after I watched this video on the subject:
